Free ?! Who knew? Apparently this program has been going on for some time, but it starts up again this Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon and runs through Mar. 2 at the Denver Art Museum, and it promises to be the most diverse yoga Denver offers.

Part of the Im’Unique program, this yoga series is part of Illustrating Union Yoga Tours, classes meant to attract people of all ethnicities and income levels from around Colorado. The sessions take place in museums across the Denver-Metro Area and are designed for all ages and all skill levels, including those new to the discipline.

This great idea is free and for all ages (they recommend age 8 and up), although donations are always welcome. Bring a mat, towel and water, and try to come about 30 minutes ahead to secure some space. If you don’t have a mat, there are usually extras. Save time and print out a waiver ahead.

The series after this one will be held at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science for 8 weeks, and on June 29, the Mile High Yoga Experience will unite 100 top yoga teachers and studios from across the city on the field prior to the Outlaws game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. You can follow the whole experience with them on Facebook.

Kyle Wagner is the editor of the Travel and OutWest sections at The Denver Post.
